The Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G400 is a rack-mountable, modular all-flash array with exceptional performance, durability, and flash-accelerated scalability. The storage system has two controllers, each of which has a processor, two DIMMs for in-line cache memory, a CFM for cache flash memory, a battery, fans, and I/O modules for iSCSI and Fibre Channel. For out-of-band management, each controller also has an Ethernet connection. All data discs remain accessible to data hosts utilising a redundant data path through the other controller if the data path through one controller fails. Network-attached storage (NAS) modules built within the storage system are available. The NAS modules offer block access using iSCSI protocols and file access using CIFS and NFS protocols.
