HPE D6020 Enclosure
Storage Device
With the HPE D6020 Enclosure, you can reduce the price and footprint of your HPE ProLiant servers and BladeSystems storage expansion needs. With the 12 Gb/s SAS HPE D6020 Disk Enclosure, direct-attached storage for ProLiant servers and BladeSystems is redefined, integrating direct-attached storage's affordability and simplicity without compromising performance or flexibility. The D6020 is a storage enclosure for dense, cost-effective external storage extension for enormous data capacity applications at low $/GB and is ideal for data-intensive situations. The HPE D6020 can be utilized for expansion in storage applications like Microsoft Storage Space, Luster, Cloud Backup, Data Protection, or Big Data settings, in addition to being used as a stand-alone Direct Attach Enclosure (Unstructured and Structured). Direct connections between the D6020 and ProLiant Gen9 servers are possible with the Smart Array P441 and the P841 standard 2M SAS cable. The HPE H241 Host Bus Adapter is also supported by the HPE D6020 (HBA). The HPE Smart Array P408e-p SR Gen10 Controller and the E208e-p SR Gen10 Controller both support controllers using an HPE ProLiant Gen10 server direct communication. Use the D6020 as a simple in-rack 6 Gb/s SAS implementation to provide HPE BladeSystem servers with high-density, inexpensive external zoned direct attach storage. Utilizing simple administration tools, you can quickly and easily arrange storage. Up to 21 0 drives can be supported by daisy-chaining together three enclosures. A single BladeSystem enclosure can accommodate up to six D6020 storage devices. Using an HPE Smart Array P741m controller and 6 Gb/s SAS BL switches, a D6020 can perform better, have a more straightforward configuration and deployment, and offer more features.
