Fiber Channel on the HP ProLiant BL25p G2 Server Blade "The HP ProLiant BL25p G2 Server Blade supports one optional Fiber Channel adapter for SAN connectivity. Customers are offered a choice of either a QLogic-based or Emulex-based Fiber Channel adapter. Both adapters are mezzanine circuit boards that connect directly to the server blade system board. These optional Fiber Channel adapters are available as option kits and must be ordered separately.
QLogic-based adapters:Use a QLogic ISP2312 chipset.
The HP QLogic-based dual-port Fibre Channel Adapter (HP Part Number 361426-B21) is compatible with the HP ProLiant BL20p G3, BL20p G4, BL25p G2, and BL45p G2 server blades. It cannot be used with the HP ProLiant BL25p G1, BL35p, or BL45p G1 server blades.
Include two small-form-factor pluggable transceivers with LC connectors for installation into the Patch Panel 2, CGESM, or GbE2 Interconnect Switch (with the Storage Connectivity Kit).

Emulex-based adapters:
Uses an Emulex ""Thor"" chipset.
The HP Emulex-based dual-port fibre channel host bus adapter (HBA) (HP Part Number 394757-B21) is compatible with the HP ProLiant BL20p G3, BL20p G4, BL25p G2, and BL45p G2 server blades. It cannot be used with the HP ProLiant BL25p G1, BL35p, or BL45p G1 server blades.
There are no SFPs included in the Emulex mezzanine kit for use with ProLiant BL p-Class Fibre Channel (FC) pass-through interconnects. If you require SFPs for use with an Emulex mezzanine and a FC pass through interconnect, order an SFP option kit (HP Part Number 397577-B21), which will provide two FC SFPs per option kit.
